Greetings with joy! We are thrilled to continue the legacy of our cherished family Indian restaurant. Fondly known as 'George' by many loyal patrons, our late father imbued in us a profound love for delivering authentic, delectable Indian cuisine. Our aim is to revive the same passion and flair he instilled in his cooking, along with his unwavering dedication to treating customers like family—a philosophy that forms the core of his enduring legacy.

A Journey Unfolds
Our story unfolds in the 1960s when our late father left Bangladesh for England, driven by the pursuit of a better life for his family. Starting in 1964 at a London-based Indian restaurant, he honed his skills in the intricate world of Indian cuisine, eventually realising his dream by establishing his own venture in 1969 – the pioneering 'New Taj Mahal' in Eastleigh. Being the first Indian restaurant and takeaway in Eastleigh, our father's success inspired others to join our journey, leading to a flourishing culinary scene in the area. His pride lay not only in being the first but in setting high standards for exceptional food and customer service, values that continue to resonate. In 1984, the restaurant underwent a transformation, becoming the 'Dulu Tandoori Indian Restaurant,' a joint venture with his nephew Dulu. Together, they created something truly special in Eastleigh, leaving an indelible mark on the memories of many patrons.

Embarking on a New Chapter
Fast forward to 2023, and we are privileged to reclaim the reins of our family restaurant, ensuring it remains a cherished part of our heritage. Our head chef, mentored by our late father, brings over 20 years of experience in the culinary realm. Having helmed kitchens in some of Hampshire's premier establishments, he masterfully combines traditional ingredients with a modern twist, promising a dining experience that speaks for itself—authentic and delicious. As custodians of this culinary tradition, we express our gratitude for accompanying us on this journey. Beginning with our father, we now find honour in upholding his legacy. His love for the restaurant, passion for cooking, and, above all, his dedication to serving customers echo through the very fabric of our establishment. In every dish, his memory lives on, and his legacy endures.
